Production 1: Initial Planning

The past week, I've been strategizing who I plan on interviewing and what I'll need in order to have photoshoots, as well as the type of photos I'll want in my magazine. We're lucky enough to have a College Advisory Staff on campus, so I plan on interviewing at least two of our three advisors on what they recommend for people going into college. Today, I was able to get the email of one of our advisors, Davian Spires, so I could contact him whenever I am ready to interview. I'm also considering interviewing an admissions officer from a four-year college in Florida, such as USF or UCF, on what they look for in an application. Additionally, I want to ask a few girls who have already gone into college what their advice might be for surviving freshman year. I plan on asking my cousins, who range from sophomores to seniors in college, what they would offer.
I also plan on asking my cousins to be the subject of my cover image and some images in my feature article. They look young for their ages, and some of them would be perfect for the "first time in college girl" subject I am looking for. However, if that doesn't work out, I might ask one of my friends in class to dress up a specific way one day and hold a photoshoot in the media center or other "academic setting".
